Fishing Tours

The Columbia River
We fish for Small mouth, Steelhead, Salmon and Sturgeon in the Columbia. The spectacular scenery, proximity to Portland, and the mild climate make this area a fishing paradise. Other activities in the area make this a destination for the entire family and will expand your experience of the Columbia Gorge area.
The Columbia River is one of the top 5 Small Mouth fisheries in the world! This fishery is very consistent from Early April through the end of October. Fishing for Small Mouth Bass includes lots of action from a fun, fighting fish. The Columbia produces many Smallies from 3 to 5 pounds, which makes for an awesome day of fishing.
Sturgeon fishing is quite rewarding on the Columbia River, the deep holes hold big fish. Sturgeon live more than 80 years. There are strict limits on fishing for Sturgeon to keep. But you can catch a bigger fish than you'd ever want to land!
Salmon and Steelhead are also caught along the Columbia, but they come in runs at specific times of the year. There are spring and fall runs. Both Chinnok also known as Kings, and Coho known as Silvers run up the Columbia before finding their home river.
Due to the amazing prevailing winds, the river may become unpleasant for fishing usually beginning in the afternoon. This being said, the best time to fish is between sunrise and 1 or 2 in the afternoon.
There are lots of opportunities for large fish on fly or conventional tackle.
Small mouth is the ultimate game fish.
We encourage catch and release fishing for all bass on the Columbia.
