Hood River Adventures was founded by Drew Scharns, formerly head guide for Elk Creek Outfitters Fly Fishing Fuide service for ten years. Drew moved to Hood River in a quest to open the best outdoor adventure company, in a place with endless adventure and outdoor activities!

Drew has played throughout the country, racing mountain bikes for over 20 years. He has been in the food & beverage industry since high school as well as being a professional guide for 12 years. He has combined all of his passions into one business that he loves and cares about.

Drew knows fishing and fish. He will share with you his knowledge of fly fishing through dedicated fly fishing school or while on a fishing trip. Once you have fished with Drew you will want to come back again and again to explore new rivers, fish for different species or just for another adventure.

You will find Drew mostly on the Columbia River, the Hood River and the Klickitat. There are other rivers to explore as well, provided permit restrictions allow.
